FOCUS FOR THE AGED MEN
From God To You: Urge the older men
to be temperate, venerable (serious), sensible, self-controlled, and sound in
the faith, in the love, and in the steadfastness and patience [of
Christ]. Titus 2:2 (AMP)

Message Of The Day: Old age
is God’s gift and God’s will. If and when you reach old age know it is the work
of God and recognize it as a calling of God.
What should be our focus at
old age? The Bible gave us clear clue and direction on this matter. You will do
well to pay attention to them. Who knows how long the Lord may keep you here
even in long life? Can we recall that the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob gave
these three long life and all the good that life can offer? Theirs were life
more abundantly as God perfectly wills for His children.
Old age focus. Age ninety by
all standards is old age. What did God tell Abram at age ninety? And when Abram
was ninety years old and nine, the LORD appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I
am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect. Genesis 17:1.
Let old age drives you into deeper friendship with God. Your old age should
give biggest room for God in your life. At such period develop a walk with God
in the rich faith of Jesus Christ. Step up in righteousness. Let the word be
the darling of your soul. The hoary head is a crown of glory, if
it be found in the way of righteousness. Proverbs 16:31
If God takes you into old
age make it sweet age in Jesus. The Lord who spared you unto old age may have
an Isaac for you there. The breakthrough that has eluded you over the years God
is able to make available as you focus on Him in your old age. Did God not do
it for Zechariah and Elizabeth in old age? Abraham had everything going for him
in old age. Believe God in the faith of Jesus Christ that he had package of
great breakthroughs for you in old age the real age of super maturity. These
old age breakthroughs will make you even more useful for His Kingdom purposes
on earth.
Six things were recommended
as focus for the aged by Paul himself the aged. These six were broken down into
nine in the Amplified Bible version. Urge the older men to be temperate,
venerable (serious), sensible, self-controlled, and sound in the faith, in the
love, and in the steadfastness and patience [of Christ]. Titus 2:2
(AMP).
Begin to cultivate yourself
in the Lord even before old age comes. Give chance to the Holy Spirit to build
you with depth in the Lord.
From You To God: Great God
let my old age be found in righteousness and blessed with breakthroughs in
Jesus name.
Application: Increase your
time with God as you increase in age.

and old age will build you positively.
