HUSBAND CALLING
From God To You: Let thy fountain be
blessed: and rejoice with the wife of thy youth. Proverbs 5:18

Message Of The Day: It is a
great privilege to be an husband. It is a calling of God to be head in marital
union. Adam was called into it. He understood the calling, the privilege and
the oneness in marriage. On sighting his wife he said: This is now bone
of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was
taken out of Man. Genesis 2:23.
It is a calling of leaving
like the calling of Abraham to leave his land of nativity into a new unknown
land. Yes the husband is called to leave into an unknown land of promise. Yes
marriage promised much. And under God you have before you great possession to
posses. Husband you are called into a new vista of opportunities and
responsibilities. It is a stake all calling. The first calling is to leave.
Then cleave. The word cleave is a serious word. It is only truly and fully
known in marriage. It leads into two becoming not just one but one flesh.
Husbands you are called to
rejoice with your wife. It is your calling to constantly create atmosphere of
joy. That is why the Holy Spirit forbade you to be bitter against your wife.
You are called into the deepest of love with your wife. Let thy fountain be
blessed: and rejoice with the wife of thy youth. Let her be as the
loving hind and pleasant roe; let her breasts satisfy thee at all times; and be
thou ravished always with her love. Proverbs 5:18-19. It is your calling to
nourish atmosphere of joy. Inherent in this are blessings. Live joyfully with
the wife whom thou lovest all the days of the life of thy vanity, which he hath
given thee under the sun, all the days of thy vanity: for that is thy
portion in this life, and in thy labour which thou takest under the sun.
Ecclesiastes 9:9
Husbands, love your
wives, and be not bitter against them. Colossians 3:19. Husbands you are called
to love affectionately. You are called to love as Christ
loved the church and paid the ultimate price.
God watches over you as
husband. The call of God on you is to refuse to cheat on your wife. For the
ways of man are before the eyes of the LORD, and he pondereth all his
goings. Proverbs 5:21
Husbands you are called to
dwell with them according to knowledge. Seek to know more to build a home where
God answers prayers. And where members are built as candidates of eternal
Kingdom. Seek ye first the Kingdom of God and the Lord’s righteousness are
relevant instructions in the calling of the husband. Lead to build a solid
spiritual home life. Husband you are called to lead your home under Christ the
ultimate head and the only begotten Son of God.
From You To God: O Lord help
me to be faithful and successful in all you have called me into in Jesus name.
Application: To be an
husband is a calling of God.

understood divinely.
