Praises, Prayer and Thanksgiving into the New Year

 

Our Opening Verse on this New Year's eve shall feature a few translations before we begin the prayer 

points. From the Revised Standard Version (RSV): Have no anxiety about anything, but in everything 

by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. From The 

Passion Translation (TPT): Don't be pulled in different directions or worried about a thing. Be saturated 

in prayer throughout each day, offering your faith-filled requests before God with overflowing gratitude.

· O Lord my God, today marks the last day of the year 2024. 366 days of the year will soon roll into 

history. I praise You with my whole heart for Your hand of care upon my life, for Your goodness that I 

enjoyed throughout the year, for Your moves that moved blessings into my life, for Your protection 

and provision, for testimonies of success and fulfilment, for Your faithfulness unto me and all mine, 

for victories and deliverances, for gladness and joy, for Your power working in my life, unto You be all 

the glory in Jesus name. Ps 9:1; Heb 13:15

· I adore You and praise You heartily for answered prayers throughout the year in Jesus name. Matt 

7:7

· Everlasting Father, I extol Thee, I exalt and magnify Thee. Your name be praised forever for Your 

beautiful blessings upon my life in Jesus name. Isa 60:1

· I worship You, O mighty God, for the mighty name of Jesus upon my lips. Unto You be all the glory in 

Jesus name. Col 3:17

· O Lord my Redeemer, go before me into the New Year, give unto me treasures of darkness and 

hidden riches of secret places in Jesus name. Isa 45:3 

· My able God, let no darkness parade the corridors of my life in the New Year in Jesus name. Isa 60:2

· Peace! Peace!! Peace!!! God of peace, let me enjoy peace throughout the New Year in Jesus name. 

Isa 9:6-7

· My God, keep me from sin and use me as a vessel unto honour throughout the New Year in Jesus 

name. 2Tim 2:19-21

· God of all wisdom, bless my life with exceeding wisdom that maketh to succeed exceedingly in 

Jesus name. Jam 1:5-8

· My Heavenly Father, make me a no-go area for satan, his hosts and agents in Jesus name. 1Chro 4:10

· Covenant keeping God, God of fullness of blessings and mercy, I thank You with my whole heart for 

answering my prayers in Jesus name. Jer 33:3

From You to God: Gracious God, bless me with the spirit of supplication and always answer me 

speedily in Jesus name.
