Message of the Day: Ruth the Moabitess or the
Moabitish woman answers to many appellations. She was a godly woman, a Gentile
convert to the true God. A woman described as better than seven sons to her mother
in law Naomi. A woman of consistency and steadfastness. Were we not advised to
run the Christian race with perseverance? How are you running the race? A
virtuous woman who can find? Ruth was one. Woman you too must be one. In Judah
she was referred to as a damsel, this was after her first marriage in Moab
where the Moabite man died. Does this not tell us that her features remained
elegant as she flowed freely with the maidens on the harvest field in Judah?
Young men on the field were specifically warned to keep needed distance to her
as it is not unusual of young men to lust after maidens. Ruth the damsel
finally married to Boaz the mighty man of valour.
Ruth became
a prominent female progenitor of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. God used
the Gentile woman to break the middle wall of partition through her generational
son Jesus Christ the very love of God personified. Ruth life speaks to us that
no life is worthless except God is ruled out. With Christ the sky can not even
be our limit. Ruth was the grand mother of Jesse and the great grand mother of
David. For with God nothing shall be impossible. Praise the Lord! We pray for
you your life shall experience possibilities with God in Jesus name.
Boaz would
ever be grateful she married Ruth. And Ruth would ever be grateful she married
Boaz. Humanity particularly the household of faith must be grateful, that
marriage took place at a point in history as part of God’s plan to save man
from hell and destruction. Now these are the generations of Pharez:
Pharez begat Hezron, And Hezron begat Ram, and Ram begat Amminadab, And
Amminadab begat Nahshon, and Nahshon begat Salmon, And Salmon begat Boaz, and
Boaz begat Obed, And Obed begat Jesse, and Jesse begat David. Ruth 4:18-22.
The life and times of Ruth showcased the goodness and faithfulness of God
unto him or her who choose to trust the Lord at all times. Her life tells us
that God has a sure way for His own whose eyes are upon Him. There hath no
temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful,
who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the
temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it. 1
Corinthians 10:13.
God gave Ruth expected end. And significantly Jesus the seed of the woman
came to give us expected end here and eternally.
From You to God: Mighty God, let me wax from
strength to strength in you in Jesus name.
Application: Just know with Christ a sure
winner you will be.
Foot Note: Ruth closing chapter on earth
leaves the world with endless blessings.
