Message of the Day: When a cube of sugar is dropped into a river, it loses its identity for ever. Let not your identity be lost into the rivers of this world. Jonah a prophet of God had no identity in the ship going to Tarshish where he was making his historic flight or runaway from God. There was nothing to show him as an Hebrew. There was nothing to show him as a prophet of God. There was nothing to identify him as a minister of God. Jonah carried no identity that he served the Lord Most High. Then said they unto him, Tell us, we pray thee, for whose cause this evil is upon us; What is thine occupation? and whence comest thou? what is thy country? and of what people art thou? Jonah 1:8. Another Jonah you must not be. Wherever you are in this world, let your identity in Christ be profoundly manifest.
Are you in Christ? then you are a new creature. Live the new creature life practically and profoundly. Be highly distinguished. Any position you find yourself, manifest the nature of Christ. Don’t be a thief if you are put in charge of treasury. Don’t play into the hand of Satan by ungodly living. Old things must pass away, all things must become new. Let it be your joy to honour God with your life. Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. 1 John 2:15-16. Abstain from all appearances of evil. Carry the beauty of Christ, carry the glory of Christ. The crucified life is what our faith in Christ calls for. Be crucified to the world and let the word be crucified unto you.
Our identity In Christ. Let us live for Him who died for us and rose again that we may live forever and ever. Dearly beloved, I beseech you as strangers and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul; 1 Peter 2:11. Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying. But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof. Romans 13:13-14. Anywhere, anytime show that you have put on Jesus Christ.
From You to God: My Father and my God, let not my identity in Christ be lost to the world in Jesus’ name.
Application: Let them know you by your fruit.
